Environment Artist
Position Summary
The Environment Artist creates environment models and textures which meet the high aesthetic, creative and technical standards of Acony. The ideal candidate is able to make a strong contribution in achieving visually stunning environments, will be self motivated and a good team player, collaborating closely with other departments and adhering to technical limitations.
Position Responsibilities
- All aspects of level creation, from initial concept through to finish
- Achieve exciting and visually stunning results whilst maintaining technical guidelines
- Low and high poly modeling
- Texture and material shader creation
- Assist in outsourced asset creation pipeline where required
- Collaborating effectively with other artists and participate in art review sessions to achieve an overall high quality of art
Position Requirements
- 3 years industry experience modeling and texturing environments using 3dsMax and Photoshop or similar 3D and 2D programs
- Ability to translate concept and reference artwork into 3D game assets
- A strong understanding of form, shape, and structure is a must
- Being familiar with high resolution modeling, next generation shading and texturing techniques, and a high capacity to learn new tools
- Ability to work closely with level design department
- A strong technical limitations understanding

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, self-motivation and good communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new software
- Excellent time management skills
Bonus
- Experienced with the Unreal Engine 3 editor is a plus
- Being familiar with the Unreal engine 3 shader pipelines is a plus
- Knowledge in Speed Tree and ProFX is a plus
- Next-Gen experience strongly preferred
- Fluency in English
